Cheng Shifa is widely acknowledged for his innovative compositions, strong brushstrokes and use of bright colours. His works of art have proved particularly influential in modern Chinese art. This issue features 80 pieces of Cheng Shifa’s works, including his landscape, figure and flower-and-bird paintings from the 40s to 1993, representing the different styles and themes that mark different periods of his life.
