This issue features a hundred of Fu’s most exquisite paintings from the collections of his family, the Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Painting Institute, Haitian Tang of Tokyo, Si Miao Tang of London, and Wan Mei Tang, Douda Caotang and Han Mo Xuan of Hong Kong. All of Fu Baoshi’s paintings from the Tokyo and London collections and several dozens of his works from his family’s private collection are published for the first time. The masterpieces featured in this issue are Fu’s late works dated from 1940 to 1965. The artist’s sons and daughters shed light on Fu’s career as artist and father, revealing little known yet inspirational stories behind the artist’s success.
