Li Keran is one of the most renowned painters in Chinese art. This issue publishes 80 of his most recent and representative works, along with his never-before-published articles, “Recalling Past Stories” and “On Chinese Paintings”. “Li Keran Painting Buffaloes” illustrates the artist at work. In “An Analysis of the Forgeries of Li Keran’s Paintings”, we study Li’s stylistic traits and discuss a forgery labelled by the artist himself. Other articles include “Li Keran on Art”, “Review on the Prices of Li Keran’s paintings” and “Li Keran’s Paintings in International Auctions”.
